VERY bad news

those who have know me a while know about our friend Kevin.

last Oct 27th Kevin broke his spine in Bend, OR after he crashed his quad in the dunes on vacation. he was paralyzed from the waist down. a couple of months into recovery he was transfered to a different place where he became very sick. it's been a long battle. last month he was able for the first time go outside in his wheelchair. last week he became very sick again. yesterday at 2:30 p.m. he passed away.

we used to joke around about kevin being my 2nd husband. he was here day in and day out for the last 4 years. i'm going to deeply miss him.

sorry to dump all of this on you guys...i'm still in a sorta state of shock.

thanks everyone. i appreciate it.

it's like a double edge sword. nobody wants to lose someone they love very much. but, on the other hand it was very hard to watch someone who was very kind, gentle, and full of life be confined to a bed of misery, sickness, and pain.

so, i'm taking comfort in knowing his pain is over...and in time mine will fade as well (memories are something that can never be taken away).

again, i thank everyone. it made me feel better being able to vent.

I haven't been around this board that long so I didn't know Kevin, but I am sorry to hear about your loss.
It always is very saddening to hear about friends (even cyber-friends whom I've never met) lose someone close to them.
Be comfortable in the fact he is watching you somewhere live your dreams and honoring his life as you think about him.
